This Unstoppable Kiwi 4×4 Uses A Diesel Engine, Logs, Angle Iron, And A Truck Frame To Own The Swamp

The tired old adage, “less is more” has never been better applied than it is to the truck you will see driving completely submerged and slogging through the muck in this video. The video was shot in New Zealand and the guy driving the thing looks like Robinson Crusoe after a few months living alone on the island but the truck runs like a top. It has a couple of big wide seats from some sort of modern vehicle, an inline diesel engine, some angle iron, unidentified logs, and a chassis that we’re guessing comes from a Land Rover or something of that nature. It is unidentifiable but it is also unstoppable. No weight and chains on the tires can do that for you.

We think the scenes of the guy driving it and essentially holding his breath because everything but his nostrils are under water rule. This thing may look like absolute hell but it is a tough little gorilla as a truck. We know that guys here in the USA build hunting buggies like this thing but we have never seen on driven like a damned submarine before!

Those of you that are experts on the European export trucks may be able to educate us on what the heck it is we’re looking at mechanically. We just want to get the chisels, grinders, and torches out and start making one of oue ow.

not sure what the mystery is, the guy tells us its an MQ safari , a nissan Patrol which i think may have been sold as a Ford Maverick in other parts of the world. 4.2 litre 6 cyl diesel. seats are probably standard.
The Rainbows end references are the local version of disneyland.
