Vintage Tuff Truck Video Perfection – Compressed Spines, Blown Out Front Ends, One High Flying Dodge

Like all motorsports, the world of Tuff Truck racing has advanced from the days of being a true bash ’em and crash ’em type affair. Heck, even the stock vehicles guys are beating on now are vastly superior to the stuff guys were hammering on two decades ago and this video is proof. Undoubtedly the hallmark of any good tuff truck run is hang time and that is what this short clip features from a TNN broadcast back in 1995. You’ll hear the familiar voices of Army Armstrong and the late Gary Lee on this clip that was taking at the Four Wheel and Off-Road Jamboree in Lima, Ohio.

Front ends being killed, Jeeps going turtle, and one truly amazing Dodge jump will have you cracking up. Armstrong’s comments on the Jeep ending up on its lid are priceless and the dude driving the flying Dodge Ramcharger shown above seems like the type of fella that would be hilarious to have a beer of 12 with. The fact that the guy literally threw whatever chance he had of competing out the window and lined this thing up for the jump of his life pretty much tells you all that you need to know.
