Often when we show videos of huge trucks heading into deep water, they all end the same way, with the truck tires up, floating like some sort of mobile diving platform. Not this time. In this video the truck is clearly the superior force because it plows right into what can only be described as a small pond and drives it end to end and across. Rolling on massive tractor tires, equally mammoth axles and powered by what sounds like a PowerStroke diesel, the Ford mega-truck and its occupants seem to be having a good time.
At one point in the video there are a couple of Chevy Tahoe Sheriff vehicles (occupied by what we’re going to assume were deputies) monitoring the fun and the big green monster lumbers out of the lake right near them. It looks like one of the guys is actually throwing the truck a thumbs up as he takes video of the scene. Anyway, the big truck is turning around and at one point begins to back toward the Tahoe trucks. Sensing either impending doom or a lot of paperwork, the guys throw their lights and sirens on to let the driver know that he was close enough and to continue in another direction. That cracked us up and you have to believe that the guys in the truck were loving it as well.
As you will see, this thing has some decent articulation and those big tractor tires with their V-shaped lugs claw the Earth like no one’s business when the big green leviathan decides that it is time to exit the water. This is one killer Ford!
