It was a busy week for monster truck racing legend Tom Meents. A couple of days ago we showed you the crazy video of Meents attempting a front flip in his monster truck (it supposedly did not count as ‘good’ because the front wheels did not touch first) and now we are back with the same guy pulling off the most nutty of all the monster truck stunts, the double backflip. This is NOT the first time someone has done this so he isn’t breaking new ground but he is breaking the laws of physics. It was a major breakthrough when monster trucks were able to pull a single backflip. Heaving about 15,000lbs of rubber, steel, and fiberglass into the air and getting it to flip twice before landing on its wheels is damned impressive to watch, we can tell you that.
Meets was competing at a Monster Jam show at the home of the New England Patriots. Had we not been at the drag races in Bristol, Tennessee we would have been present and accounted for to see this miracle for ourselves. As you would expect, the crowd and the announcer lose their minds after the landing and we’re sure Meents was pretty pumped up too. Again, not the first time that this has happened but if anyone there saw this and did not get excited you need to ditch your BanbgShift card because you are not worthy. If you were there, screaming and yelling, we’re envious!
