Things I am pondering today

Got told my grass is a foot high. Haven't mowed in a month and its not even two inches. Not my fault the city won't take my tree branches. Same two right by the curb for IDK how long. They just drive by even though we pay them to take it. Three guys in the truck on at least one occasion. Can't burn anything-its a fire hazard. Wanted a wood chipper but would only use it once or twice. Too $$.

Dwight Yoakam is playing next week. On vacation so could go but not paying $$ when all that's left is seats at the back and its two plus hours drive each way. Went to the same show a few years ago and that's all I did-drove straight there and back. There's a Horton Heat show next month but with two other bands listed IDK who is the opener/closer. Not interested in the other two or being out all night. I hate sitting around waiting for bands to change out on stage.

Long road trip today. Dropped the oldest off at UW River Falls for his first year of college. Mixed feelings I guess. Proud to see him moving on toward his goals yet kind of sad that I won’t have him around to torture all the time. I hope he sticks to his plan, the kid has a great future ahead of him.

David Freiburger says the racetrack in Memphis is closing. It was on the latest episode of Roadkill.

Yep, Power Tour was supposed to start there this year but they moved us to Liberty Park inside the city limits.

Purple wave auction selling a Dakota similar to my old 92 I had for fifteen years. Its local and cheap but I have little to no use for it. Its two years newer and extended cab but same two tone paint and V6 engine. It has dents but looks rust free compared to mine which had rotten cab corners rockers and part of the floor. pondering.......should a pinion seal (outer) have a lip or flange? Under consideration is a 75 GM 10 bolt.
