Aeromotive Announces the Fastest LS in America Challenge

Aeromotive Announces the Fastest LS in America Challenge

Aeromotive, the industry leader in high performance fuel systems has created a cool new challenge for drag racers running GM LS engines and participating at NMCA races as part of the LSx Challenge series. The concept is brutally simple. To win you need to have run the quickest ET of the season in your particular LSx powered class. There are five classes involved and each one of them requires you to show up with your haul ass shoes on, if you think you can be somebody. Currently the elapsed time leaders range from 8.56 in the Holley XFI Real Street class to 7.10 in the Proform LSX Rumble category.

At the end of the season, the competitor sitting at the top of the heap will be crowned “Fastest LS in America” and winners will be paid $500 bucks PLUS and additional $250 if they are running an Aeromotive fuel pump (and why the hell wouldn’t you be?!).

Here’s the full release from Aeromotive!

Aeromotive is proud to announce the 2011 Fastest LS in America Challenge. In partnering with GM Performance Parts and the NMCA, Aeromotive is looking for America’s Fastest LS. As part of the LSX Challenge Series, racers with the fastest E.T. in each class at the end of the Series, will be awarded $500 from Aeromotive as the Fastest LS in America. In addition, winners are eligible for the “Aeromotive Bonus,” an additional $250 if they are running an Aeromotive pump or regulator. That’s $3,750 up for grabs! Not to mention, Aeromotive is an official sponsor and contingency sponsor of the NMCA. Any winners at these races can claim their contingency as well.

“We want to encourage everyone with LS powered cars to attend these events,” said Steve Matusek, Aeromotive Founder and President. “We also want to show our support for the racers that have made these events so competitive.”

The NMCA/GM Performance Parts LSX Challenge Series includes the 4 eligible races listed below. The fastest E.T. in each class at the end of the 2011 season will be our winners and crowned the Fastest LS in America. Heads up classes will be based off the single best E.T. at any of the 4 eligible LSX events. For the index classes, awards will be given to the overall points champion in each of the two classes. In the end there are 5 potential winners of the Aeromotive Fastest LS in America Challenge.

“These events are a ton of fun and there is a class for everyone,” Matusek continued. “You can drive your car there and race. Its how drag racing used to be.”

If you have an LS, you can be competitive. And, you only have to show up and make 1 amazing run to win the Aeromotive Fastest LS in America Challenge.
