These nordic guys really know what’s up when it comes to crazy motorsports. In both Iceland and Norway there are roving groups of gearheads obsessed with defying the laws of physics and bouncing big block motors off of their rev limiters. Instead of the drag strip, they use huge gravel piles, mountains, massive dunes of volcanic ash and/or whatever other ready made “race courses” Mother Nature has provided for them. They fly, they climb, they roll, and they flip, but since the surface they are doing all of those things on is like a giant cushion, the damage is minimal at worst.
This is a nicely produced video. There is an awesome mix of in and out of truck footage. Lots of great driving, some wreckage, a little fire, and some interviews that prove our theory that horsepower is the ultimate and universal gearhead language. We don’t speak Norwegian, but it is easy to see the expression on a guy’s face after he conquers the hill by beating the snot out of a nitrous huffing big block and know that he is experiencing the same thing we all feel after a good full throttle blast, no matter the setting.
You don’t have to dig trucks or hill climbing to like this video. It touches all the BangShift bases. Grassroots competition, exhaust notes that make the hair on your neck stand up, and people absolutely flogging their junk. Win,win,win!
