BangShift-Approved Music Video: Red Fang Smashes Their Way Through ‘Wires’

This music video came out five years ago so you’ve probably already seen it. However, Red Fang’s music video for the song “Wires” is such an entertaining six minutes of automotive bulldozering that I’ve vowed to watch it every time I see it posted somewhere. Anywhere. The Portland-based band play a heavily Black Sabbath-influenced version of metal that, for lack of better words, kicks some serious ass. It might not quite by Scandinavian black metal in terms of its brutality, but it’s catchy and sounds great with your stereo at Top F****** Volume (TFV).

So what’s this video all about? The general premise is that Red Fang get cut a $5,000 check to make a music video and after stocking up on garbage food, they buy a $685 ‘79 Chevy Impala Wagon. After some import modifying, they then stock up on milk and…well, if you haven’t seen it, I won’t ruin it. The end result is basically a one-car demolition derby of epic proportions.

Enjoy and don’t try this—any of it—at home.
