This BangShift Question of the day should be good! I happened to be having a chat with my sons the other day and the topic of favorite cars/trucks came up (like it does every day). They asked me what my favorite car or truck was when I was their age and it was an instantaneous answer. Bigfoot 1. To this day, the sight of Bigfoot 1 on the hill at Gravelrama, wading through a stream, or climbing a snow back makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up. The classic looks of the truck, the Predator carbs, the huge 640ci Alan Root Ford hemi engine, it is just perfection. They had their own answers which were hilarious because when you ask a kid for their “favorite” of anything you get like 16 answers.
This whole thing got me to thinking of the idea for the question above. If I were able to own one famous vehicle it would be Bigfoot 1. There are so many incredible answers to this question. You could go race car, movie car, historically awesome custom, iconic hot rod, etc.
Why would it be Bigfoot 1 for me? Just the way the thing makes me feel when I see photos of it. Like time travel it is something I cannot describe. So that would be the anchor of my one vehicle dream garage. How about yours?
So now it is your turn to tell us which famous car or truck you would own if you could have one.
Here’s a couple of shots of Bigfoot 1 doing cool stuff – I still dream about this truck!
Andy Devine’s Jeep ” Lulubelle” from the Roy Rodger’s Show, 1951 -1957. 🙂

Too many to choose from…That’s a hard one
10 year old me would be torn between the General Lee/BJ’s Kenworth
16 year old me would be torn between Milner’s Deuce or Falfa’s 55
22 year old me would want Starsky’s Tomato or the Bandits Trans-Am
42 year old me is far more practical – I would want Bigfoot #1 or the Bill Mitchell modified, Dick Landy 440 powered Dodge ambulance driven by Brock Yates in the 79 Cannonball and star of the movie of the same name…man, that was specific….
’70s Blue Max fc
Gap and Rousch mustang II
(Hmm, both mustang IIs)
Any David Pearson Torino

I come down to 2 cars:

Either the 1970 Sox & Martin Cuda or a 72-74 Petty Charger.
This is a tough one but my favorite famous car is the 427 Cobra from “Gumball Rally”.
Ronnie Sox\’ Pro Modified Comet
Mad Max Interceptor.
Which I would then go and swap for the General Lee!
My initial response would be the Glidden 7-Eleven/Chief T-Bird. Saddest childhood race memory was when that thing rolled. Though that streamlined Motorcraft T-Bird that followed was impressive.
Leno’s 1917 Fiat Botafogo or the 1932 Daimler Six 40/50 Martin Walter Sport Saloon . . .
Daimler Double Six – it’s a V-12 . .
Calhoun or Big Red
Let me “rephrase” the question; if I won the lottery, what famous vehicle would I buy if available? No brainer for me…..the “MUNSTER KOACH”.
The Mooneyham-Sharp 1934 Ford Coupe with a bad-dose (95%) in the tank.
Larry Larson’s Nova.

The Highland Green 68 Mustang from Bullitt.
Milner’s Deuce Coupe.
Vanishing Point Challenger.
The Lamborghini from Cannonball Run, especially if Adrien Barbeau came with it.
