Are You More Or Less Likely To Buy A Street Car That Is Doing A Burnout In The Ad Photo?

While looking through Craigslist for something interesting yesterday I came across this 3rd Gen Camaro doing a burnout in one of the photos in the ad. And it wasn’t one of like 10 photos, but rather one of just two photos. It made me laugh and then got me thinking. Is it a good sales tactic or a bad one? In the grand scheme of things I am probably cool with seeing most anything I want to buy doing a burnout because I am not leaving anything alone. Everything gets modified, and I’d never leave a 3rd Gen Camaro alone. It is getting an engine, trans, and rear end swap anyway if I bought it so I don’t care how beat the rest is. But do normal people think this is cool or bad? I’m not normal, so I really don’t know.

What do all you BANGshifters think?

It would be all it t you kes for me to assume its had the crap beat out of it and turn the page . We all know that a V8 mustang or Camaro has had some mistrearment but there is no reason to remove all doubt that it isn’t the one in the state that wasn’t.

Just like you wouldn’t post a picture of yourself and your girlfriend for your wife to see. Why would you post a picture of you doing a burn out for the Cops to see?

Camero or Mustang, it’s likely been bounced off curbs or in a ditch and left overnite. Blacklite the back seat and it would look like Vegas on new years eve.
A drug sniffing dog would have a heart attack if brought near. Probably involved in several felonys. Used means to transport underage females across state lines etc.

I’d wonder what damage is hiding under the bra. That’s an even worse thing to put in the car ad than a burnout pic!

If you knew anything about cars, you would never buy a car with an ad that shows it doing a burnout (not talking race cars in a water box of course, only street cars on the street). First, your average street car lead foot is clueless about mechanics, they’re just out to show off to their equally clueless friends… Both the amount of excessive stress on a car’s drivetrain doing dry burnouts coupled with some bozo who probably couldn’t do a proper controlled burnout anyway, means the car has been thrashed in the worst way possible… And of course if the car wasn’t built to handle those stresses, you can be pretty sure it’s toast. Pass of course.

It’s like those who put a For Sale sign on their car, then drive around like a dick at full noise for everyone to see

I would NEVER buy a Chevy – especially one driven by a drooling idiot who thinks making vast clouds of reeking smoke makes up for his tiny little tool…

People who want to buy a muscle and think it should spend its whole life pampered like some kind of fragile, ancient Ming Dynasty vase need to get a grip on reality. They probably believe it was never ever abused if it shown sitting in garage with Race Deck flooring. Those babied cars are the first to fall apart from never ever being driven.
