With Freiburger and Finnegan finishing their three day live LS engine swap yesterday at PRI, and the Anniversary of our 48 Hour Camaro build fast approaching, we’ve been talking about all the fun stuff we could do to a car live while you watched. Engine swaps, suspensions, wheels and tires, interiors, stereo, transmissions, cooling systems, air conditioning, fabrication and more could all be done live either on their own or together. The question is what would you like to see? Something small or something big?
Let us know, and stay tuned as we’ll be replaying the entire 48 Hour Camaro build here on BangShift.com shortly. You’ll be able to see us build a complete double throwdown bad ass Pro Touring ’68 Camaro in less that 48 Hours from start to finish.
Until then, tell me what you would like to see us install, modify or build LIVE here at BangShift.com?

Live in-car Drag Week feeds from the Unlimited cars! Especially during the drives
Just from shoting short vids in my Mustang all you would hear is WWAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH…….etc…etc…..
For me the continuous live is just too time consuming and waiting for ???? Something live, brief (a known time cap) and single goal. How about following up on the project? F n F tune the thing, work out the bugs (show us……) and drive the thing to work? Continuously. Day after day for a week. Hop in it and challenge the car to something in true roadkill fashion. There’s gotta be something you could do that wouldn’t take upteen hours and still make the live deal cool. Be fun for me to dive in to the live feed @ a certain time and do 20min. to an hour on something. I’d plan and stay for that. The CSPAN thing is just too much waiting for ??
My 2 cents…..
Thanks, Steve weim55 Colorado
I would like to see things done properly and neatly, show how much work it is to do things right instead of rushed together.
The Crusher swap fuel system regulator install comes to mind, I missed what happened that started the debate but from the GoPro shots at the end it looked like the feed hose and return got cut too short . Yes your making live TV but read the instructions.
The torque converter spacer deal is another one,I got the feeling the guys were “this” close to just pulling it up with the bolts.
I only watched about 4 hours total but it seemed I was seeing more on my little 13″ screen than you guys could see in front of you.
they did not have any -8 hose as it got left back in cali so they had to cobble something that brought -8 down to -6 the result was what was shown.
later the following day before the trip i think they got the correct -8 and had the regulator on the return line instead of supply and redid the battery positive mess
Clearly some things could have been thought out better, but over all enjoyed watching. Those guys that provided the trany, if they were watching they maybe should have tried or tried harder to contact them to tell them to remove that spacer. No kidding the last minute fuel line goober needed to be fixed, they wanted to get it running, understood. The dog seems to have quite a following, not that surprising, almost everyone likes dogs. I’d like to hear how it performs once the bugs are worked out and maybe see it with a hood on it. Something similar on the power tour would work, I’d watch.
Drag Week with one of the racers. I mean from start to finish right in the mix of it.
Not for sure you but from a Bang shift point of view your always full of suprizes. Even I f2f it was a a hoped up Briggs & stratton I’d beamused. Got to make them jrs faster. Ummm I’m sure there’s somthing that we have stocked up on thay would way fun. Suprise us I guesse
🙂 how much power will a 12 HP briggs make on 90% nitromethan ?
🙂 EFI a Briggs
🙂 Blowen ,injected Alky Briggs ?
🙂 Unlimited junior dragster for growen ups !
Fixing dents, paint and body. How to build custom headers.
Turbo installed on gen 1 small block
For the budget impaired C10 owners
Maybe a carb blow through system ?
Not quite a swap but it would be entertaining and educational.
can it be done to work with junk yard parts ?
I enjoyed the Crusher swap even though I like the blown BBC in the car. I would like to see the Crusher entered in Drag week with live feeds of racing and the drives between tracks. Also, enough with the dog……
A 9″ ford rear into a tri 5 chevy with stock leaf springs and cal tracs.
I like David C.’s idea of following someone on “Drag Week”…..maybe a little guy car and I’d like to see a reversal of the “LoSer7” install and the BBC put back in place. I understand what Freiburger said about the “Crusher” constantly evolving, but so much more can be done w/the BBC……
Like to see complete LS swap into 1973-1987 Chevrolet C-10 truck. These trucks while not on everyones wish list , are very affordable and easy to find. Great first time hot rods . The truck that was featured in Hot Rod magazine and episodes of Road Kill were very popular. Do the swap in as affordable manner as you can , but still using some aftermarket parts. Get us the most bang for the buck. My teenage boy doesnt have much of a budget. Show him how to get the best horsepower to dollar ratio. Have talked with several Father / Son teams doing similar first time swaps. Give us some pointers.
Maybe thats the next one.^^^^ but not F&F but a real father/son team. Give them a little more room than a 1 car garage, F&F can come in for comic relief.
Maybe an edited junkyard crawl to get the parts.
I really enjoyed the Roadkill show. Lohnes did a great job narrating, and keeping it interesting.
For a live show, the only thing I would have liked to have seen would be them driving away. Five days live, with a couple days driving would be interesting for sure.
Whatever you decide to do live, make sure it has a purpose, and we get to see a road or track test. My idea would be to hand build an Ariel Atom style replica on a budget.
I would like a to see a bolt on only suspension/brakes upgrade on a car/truck start to finish including the alignment.
I would like to see you show up at readers garages & help them thrash to get something going that has held them up from getting a project going.
Also, I don’t care for the mega build using donated stuff from advertisers. Just like the LS in the Crusher Camaro. You can tell Freiburger isn’t into it & it’s in there because vendors donated/challenged them to install due to the ease of installation.
A live swap of an LSX into the Outsiders Mustang …. while he watches from in a cage.
Roadkill show was awesome! Lohnes did a great job, repping the Bean no less!
Another engine swap would be cool, maybe with a twist. Pull an engine, rebuild it, put back in? I think a live engine build would be pretty cool.
Total suspension swap would be pretty sweet too, from mushy to sticky in X hours flat!
I would like to see a paint and body job done on buford. Dark metallic blue which I think was its original color. Or a camaro Ride Tech tubular A arm swap done on the same car. Chad if you are feeling left out….. I love that old 56 wagon . Id love to see it painted well also. If you guys just like them that way ( needing painted ) you can do mine. I’ll provide the car and paint you supply the work and the cameras. I’ll film while you work.
Not just a swap , but a build – – – 440 mopar into an Opal GT – – – – I double dog dare ya !!!
Whelk ; How did you place the picture in the box beside your comment ??? Need to know …..
