When trying to make your race car appear different that all the others, there is a good way and a bad way to do it. Ferrari, in a move meant to absolutely piss off Formula One and the FIA, went unconventional and created a website meant to dredge up public support. IndyCar is allowing manufacturers to produce aero kits for their race cars, and both Chevrolet and Honda, the two manufacturers competing currently, have taken the bait. From the rear, it looks like typical IndyCar, but if you can’t think of a “Fast and Furious” joke when you look at the Honda from the front, you aren’t trying hard enough. The front area of the car looks less like fenders of any sort and more like closed window blinds, and the theme continues on to the back end of the car. At any point you almost expect Xzibit to come out from nowhere with “We heard you like downforce, dawg…” What do you think?
There’ll be so much downforce that this thing won’t even move!
Or is it a new take on the chariot wheels with swords gig……..
That Ferrari F1 aero car travesty posing as a concept from the other day almost looks good in comparison to this ludicrous aero joke . Almost 😉
Wow, make an ugly car even uglier. How are they going to keep these things on the cars? They can’t keep from making contact as it is. How about get rid of the training wheels, the wings, and get some car control?
My first thought was the “racers” from Cars.
If I owned California Shutter & Blind Co. I’d step up and sponsor that car.
Dale
It worked for the Nickens Brothers in the 90’s when they punched 150 louvers in the body of their Comp Eliminator roadster and picked up 5 mph
Does it work? If so then go for it.
