You hear about it all the time. The guy that finishes building some bad ass race car, street machine, or hot rod after years and years and who started with some project car that cost only a few hundred bucks. You scratch your head wondering just how they took something this cheap and made it into something this cool. Well, these two potential projects are for sale online for less than $1000 each and we wonder which one you think is the bees knees for the money.

It’s the Ford edition of this game because we’ve got a Maverick and a 4-eye Fox Body Mustang. Now I’m no Ford guy but if I were buying one, the Maverick and 4-eye Fox are definitely on the short list. Right there with them would be a Pinto. But that’s another story.

So if you were going to spend your hard earned money, and could assume that both of these cars could be had for the same amount of money, say $700, which one would you want? Would it be the Mustang so you could build your own version of our Beer Money Mustang? Or do you go straight to the Grabber Maverick to kick it old school? I can tell you that a set of big and little Centerline Autodrags would look ultra bitchin on it.

So which one is it going to be?
