The Complete Book of Dodge and Plymouth Muscle by Mike Meuller is a must own piece for any dyed in the wool Mopar freak. The book focuses all of its energy on the years 1960 through 1974 when Chrysler produced some of the most iconic and powerful iron of the muscle car era.
The book is broken into ten sections, each focused on a specific model. The Coronet, Road Runner, Super Bee, and GTX all have their own individual sections, allowing Meuller to deliver detail on each car in a focused manner. Often these type books are devoting paragraphs to each model, here it’s chapters.
Those chapters are chocked with fantastic photos, most of which Meuller shot himself. Production years are covered one by one so the evolutionary process of each specific model can be followed. Meuller did his research and there’s lots of great period road test info and quotes from the media members who were so smitten with many of these cars.
This is a hard cover book with a killer interactive cover that featuers a rotating wheel of Mopars. The pages are of a very high quality, thick semi-glossy paper. This book is physically contructed to stand the test of time and it is officially our new favorite Mopar reference book.
Christmas is still a decent way off, but if there is someone who owns or loves Mopars in your family, you need to score them this book. It’s one of the finest works on the subject we’ve ever read.
The book is available from MotorBooks.com and other fine booksellers.
