Originally released in 1957 by Bobby Mitchell and the Toppers, “I’m Gonna Be A Wheel Someday” was written by Fats Domino, Roy Hayes, and Dave Bartholomew. Domino released his own version of the song and so have dozens of other artists ranging from Paul McCartney, to Cheryl Crow, Herbie Hancock, Asleep At The Wheel, and a host of others. The song is a great listen and while the wheel that Domino pines to be someday isn’t a Rocket, Cragar, or Weld, this is still a great driving song and a tune that brings you right back to the late 1950s or early 1960s.
