Sure, Freibuger posted photos of the zooty Thunder Flite and its all well crafted and engineered and all. There’s a problem though. We’re not the well crafted, well engineered types.
He can take his fancy pants, hand fabbed, T-Bird and keep it. We’ll take Kent and Les Shockley’s version, it’s far more us. The formula is simple. Take an ‘80’s G-Body Olds, lop off the roof, add a big mutha wing and some bubbles over the drivers compartment. Voila!
This car is used as the recovery rig for the Shockleys’ jet-powered Peterbuilt (recently destroyed in a high-speed crash) and their awesome jet-powered ’57 Chevy truck (not destroyed yet). The funny thing is this Cutlass draws crowds almost bigger than the jet cars!
