While wrasslin’ with an HEI swap onto our project truck Goliath we ran into a problem. Namely, that problem was that our fancy pants HEI unit was not producing any spark. Because it was provided to us by some junkyard trolling BangShift members we naturally thought that it may have seen better days. The more likely scenario was that we had botched the installation.
After trying to start the truck (while dumping LOTS of raw fuel down the exhaust) we went back over our work with a volt meter and determined that we had not screwed up the work badly enough to create the no spark scenario. We plugged in our power wire to the distributor and hit the key. What you see below was the result.
