Listening To This GT3 Camaro Rip Around The Track Should Help Some With The Cabin Fever

Drag racing, road racing…hell, at this point I’ll watch a ton of FWD hatchbacks from the early 1990s race in a Wal-Mart parking lot if the drivers will run them like they mean it. Winter sucks, and it’s only good for working on your car…unless you’re Brian and have friends with badass trucks that like to go play in the snow, of course! Lohnes and I are in similar situations: the Raven Imperial is ripped apart and racing the Angry Grandpa 300C in wintertime conditions is just asking for the appearance of Angry Wife. Not good, especially since I just finished putting in new tie rods on the bigger Chrysler. So, unless enough snow falls that sledding becomes a viable method of transportation, I’m stuck at the computer too. And while I miss the drag strip and can’t wait to go back, there’s other racing venues that we simply don’t cover enough of.

Case in point is this SaReNi Camaro GT3 car that YouTuber “19Bozzy92” caught a couple of months ago hauling ass around a track, doing testing and pit practices. Similar to the SuperStars racing series cars that we’ve shown you before, this is a Camaro far out of it’s normal element, playing in the same field as Ferrari, Mercedes and BMW and while all of those cars have performance pedigrees, none of them sound quite this violent. In the land of shrieking Ferraris this thing must be the auditory equivalent of meeting Leatherface in person for the first time, with your brain taking enough time to register “oh crap, it’s real” before realizing you need to get the hell out of the way. It sounds glorious and makes all of the right kinds of nasty race car noises. Don’t believe me? Click play and have a listen for yourself:

THANK YOU! I’ve been watching this guy’s videos for years now and I had no freaking clue what track it was. I thought that it might be Monza but didn’t know for sure.

Indeed it is a great track. It’s too bad that the banking portion of the track will be lost with time. At least we have the Jim Garner’s GRAND PRIX to look and say ‘Remember when?’
