Rough Start: This 1964 Chevrolet C10 Is The Perfect Prairie Truck!

First and foremost, whoever took the photos captured the entire purpose of this 1964 Chevrolet C-10 PERFECTLY. This Chevy does nothing to hide it’s age outside of a set of 1970s-era truck wheels. The paint is cooked off, there’s some knocks here and there, but in the end, this is a solid old piece of American iron as it should be: small block Chevrolet V8 for motivation, four forward gears that require your manual input to be changed, and the looks that only come with experience. This truck is a country music song in person, standing tall but with the battle scars that come with the passage of time.

According to the seller, all that’s needed is a fuel pump replaced. And if that’s all that is needed, what is really stopping you from taking on this machine? It’s taken time for me to truly appreciate a true work truck, the kind that doesn’t need to be updated or tweaked on. Just make it safe, make it start and stop, and enjoy it for what it is. You can have the Hollywood flash and flair of a street machine if you want, you can have the riotous time playing in the woods with a lifted four-by-four, but a Chevy like this is like sitting with your dad when you’re facing fatherhood and he’s facing being called “Grandpa” for the rest of his days, and you’re splitting a bottle and just talking. Let the old man speak to you for a bit in his words. You’ll be amazed at what you’ll learn about yourself.
