Three For One Deal! You Cound Be The Proud Owner Of These Ford “Sprint” Cars!

Three For One Deal! You Cound Be The Proud Owner Of These Ford “Sprint” Cars!

In 1972, Ford decided to celebrate the 1972 Olympics, as well as the upcoming bicentennial celebration, by releasing the “Sprint” package for the Mustang, Maverick and Pinto. They left the factory painted Wimbledon White with blue striping and that was pretty much that. If special edition Fords are your thing, then we have a deal for you: not one, not two, but three Ford Sprint package cars are being sold together! All three cars are coming out of the same location and will need varying degrees of restoration, but they all run and drive and can be picked up for a solid price.

sprints pinto

The roughest car of the group is the Pinto. There’s plenty of exposed Bondo, missing paint, mismatched wheels and tires, but it’s complete and honestly, doesn’t look too bad from here. We wouldn’t sweat leaving this one original…get that 2.3L four to make some power and have fun with this little runner!

sprints maverick

Next is the Maverick. It’s nowhere near as rough as the Pinto, but it’s not completely clean, either…check out the area around the front marker light. We don’t know if it’s a six cylinder car or if it has the 302 inside, but a Maverick is cool no matter what, especially these small-bumper cars.

sprints mustang

The most sorted of the bunch is the Mustang. With it’s desirable SportsRoof shape and fresh repaint, it’s head and shoulders above the other two. It is missing all of the Sprint identifying stripes and graphics, but as it is, do you really care? The Magnum 500s are a nice upgrade from the stock FoMoCo dog dishes.

The owner would like to see all of the cars sold as one package, which would work out to just under $5,000 per car. What do you think…an excellent bulk buy, or time to sprint away from this deal?
