Pigpen: Newbern And Cotten Hot Rodded This LS7 Powered 1950 GMC Shop Truck And Here’s The Behind The Scenes Action!

Newbern and Cotten are always up to something fun and that includes getting to work on some pretty cool rides. If you are a fan of Roadkill then you may remember this truck from an episode from several years ago. Since then though, Newbern and Cotten have made it into something that is actually cool. No offense to Freiburger and Finnegan, but what has been done to this thing since they had it is way cooler than anything previously. With a big does of power, and completely new chassis setup, and all the other parts necessary to support it all, this thing is super fun to play with. And boy does it do some insane burnouts.

Video Description:

On this episode we go behind the scenes and work on Pigpen. This truck made its way into the Motortrend family several years ago on an episode of Roadkill. It sat in a junkyard for decades until David Freiburger and Mike Finnegan saved it. It sat for several years until Mike Cotten and myself got our hands on it for an episode of Faster with Newbern and Cotten. We body swapped it onto a 1987 s15 chassis and stuffed the engine bay with an LS7 making 630 hp. Its backed by a Gearstar Performance Transmssions 4l80e and a Quick Performance 9″ Rearend. I completely wired the truck and made it street legal and we updated the EFI from an old hacked up MSD setup to a Holley Terminator X.
