eBay Find: One Of The Wildest Custom Chevrolet Pickups We’ve Ever Seen!

eBay Find: One Of The Wildest Custom Chevrolet Pickups We’ve Ever Seen!

The word “custom” gets thrown around a lot in the automotive word, but make no mistake, there is no question that the term applies when used to describe this 1975 Chevrolet truck. No, we aren’t messing with you…buried under the 1959 Cadillac Eldorado fins, 1956 Cadillac front bumper, Ford E-series headlights and metallic lime paint sits a Chevy with a major roof chop. The running gear consists of an aluminum-headed 350ci small-block and an automatic transmission, and it has exhaust cutouts. That’s pretty much all of the information that is provided by the seller.

Every time we see one of these vehicles, we have to wonder whether or not the finished product actually matches what the builder saw in their head when they started work. The Eldorado rear fenders and fins couldn’t have been easy to adapt, yet the bodywork looks good in the photos. The ’56 front bumper and the E-series headlights are questionable choices, but again, someone put a lot of work into adapting them to the boxy Chevrolet body. We are genuinely interested in hearing your take on this custom truck…mainly because words fail us.

Thank you BangShift for curing my hangover!

Looking at this monstrosity caused me to run the the bathroom to blow chunks and I feel a whole lot better now….

The usually precient CHMG takes a swing and misses this time. Lose the stupid scoop on this thing, and it’d be great. (Other than the GM drivetrain, which would essentially make it not worth owning)….

Maybe using a late 30’s to early 50’s pickup would have been a whole hellava better choice than a 1975 Chevy! It looks like puke!

Zero bids, for a reason. I would only drive this on two days of the year.

April fool’s day or Halloween, when I wear my lime green sports coat, red checked golf pants, yellow plaid shirt, blue tie with blue whale on it, and brown white saddle shoes. Plus a white belt of course!

I am always amazed at the amount of time and fabricating talent these things take and still miss the mark:

When I looked at this thing, and especially the front bumper, I didn’t know where to laugh or cry. And to think someone actually(I suppose) spent money building this??

Front and back don’t match, at all. I like the back half, but the front should have used a late ’50s or early ’60s cab.

Hmm, okay starting at the back… Not bad, kinda kool in 50’s dream truck sort of way. Moving on to the cab, okay the chop is decent, moving on to the front… oh boy….oooohh boy. Crashes and burns in a spectacular total fail.
