Cool Visualization Software Allows Users to See How Air Moves Around a Car

We’re not going to pretend to know lots about this cool software that we never knew existed before. We seem to think that it is new, but maybe it’s twenty years old and we’re just late to the table. Used in a wind tunnel test to see how the air moved around a 1997 Camaro that is to be fitted with a belly pan. This software shows the air’s travel path around, over, and under the car.

The stated “goal” of the Camaro project is to increase down force by “large amounts” using a full under-body tray to take advantage of the car’s ground effects. We don’t know if this is a project Bonneville car or just an engineering exercise, but this software is neato.
