Ever Thought About Putting A VW Body On A Modified S10 Frame? Stop Thinking And Buy This “Mostly Done” Version

Ever Thought About Putting A VW Body On A Modified S10 Frame? Stop Thinking And Buy This “Mostly Done” Version

There are things that even we can’t get our heads around here and that’s mostly because Chad and I have massive heads that are in no way malleable. That being said, there was some seriously warped thinking that went into this “thing”. Well, technically it is not a thing because VW made those and they are way cool than this Frankenstein monster of a project that a guy in Washington State is trying to sell. What is it? How about a VW body on an S10 chassis set up to swallow a small block Chevy. We know, it makes our heads hurt as well.

Of all the bold moves the large diameter exhaust being routed below the rear axle may be the boldest because as you will see, the blades of grass are actually growing up and around the pipes. We’re thinking that speed bumps would flatten those poor bastards roughly 16-seconds after you started driving it. On the plus side it has a roll bar and the firewall is now a massive gaping hole that you can put where you want. There seems to be some interesting fabrication with regard to the steering column as well.

Elky Guy sent us this tip and we thank him for it…or we will once we wash our eyes out with brake fluid.

    … and once again the question must be asked ;

    Why ?

    … along with reiterating the old saying ..

    ‘ Just because you can … doesn’t mean you should ‘

    Which is to say … stuffing a Chevy V8 into the back of a Bug ? Been done … but its still a cool thing to do and sure as hell shocks the living daylights out of everyone you’ll blow into the weeds when driving it .

    But stretching , yanking and pulling a Bug over one of Chevy’s worst platforms ? Senseless and absurd .

    Either that or the result of 1) too many beers ….2) way too much 420 … 3) having sampled too much of WW’s or Dr Tim’s wares 4) A severe case of the JD flu … or 5) all of the above

    I’ll guess ……. door number 5 😉

    Visually, the worst thing is the grille, which makes the front end look like a seasick Citroen.

    It’s sad when that sunroof is way down on the list of wrongness simply because it’s overshadowed by the rest of the car.

      I hadn’t even noticed that he’d stuck a BUBBLE WINDOW in as a sunroof. I can’t believe that.

        Substance abuse ! Maybe a severe blow to the head . But more likely substance abuse ! The more you look at this travesty … the more that becomes the only plausible and logical explanation available .

        Nobody in their right mind would do this if they weren’t ‘ under the influence ‘ …

    Did anyone notice where the steering wheel is located? Curious how long it takes to get out of that car! Thru the passenger side?
