We’ve never made a secret of our love for car haulers. Be they old cab-over-engine trucks, modern enclosed jobs, or the totally cool units that were used to tote 1960s drag race iron around, we like ’em all. This one is the new apple of our eye.

This week’s CraigsList pick is a 1985 Chevy C-30 that has served car-hauling duty since the day it was new. Equipped with a 454, four-speed transmission, and 4.11 gears, this is not an economy truck. Who cares? There’s tool storage, tie downs, and nice comfy 1980s bench seat to cradle your fanny between home and the track.

This particular truck looks to be very clean and according to the seller was used to cart his SCCA racer from race to race. It’s got 119,000 miles on the clock, but so long as that 454 has been maintained, it’s got plenty left to go.
