This week’s Craiglist pick looks to be more fun than a barrell of monkeys. It’s a super clean 1992 Mustang that is owned by a road race instructor. It’s got the goods to clean up at autocrosses and embarrass high end stuff on open track days. Oh yeah, it’s still museum quality too.
Lots of times road racing cars are pretty well used up by the time the owners are tying to sell them. Anything that has see lots of time competing wheel to wheel is bound to have some battle scars or suffered through some big time wreckage before hitting the market. This thing is the exact opposite. The combo of stock looks and trick road race suspension parts has us drooling.
Does the thing probably ride like a cement truck on anything but a race track? Maybe, but who cares. The look on the Porsche owners face when you beat his lap time by two seconds will be worth it. That and the ability to scare the sweet bajesus out of your friends on a bendy road.
