Craigslist Pick of the Week: Super Cool Barn Find Chevelle

Craigslist Pick of the Week: Super Cool Barn Find Chevelle

This week’s CraigsList find comes from the lovely burg of Quincy, Illinois. Long story short, it’s a great 1965 Chevelle that spent a couple of decades snoozing in the back of a barn. The car has recently found the light of day again and is now for sale to the first person who offers up $4,500.

What makes this car perfect in our eyes is the fact that it’s a plain Jane, six cylinder, three on the tree car that could be daily driven after having the brakes bled. It is not some one off, factory special, too important to do anything but flip to a rich guy car. In fact, it is the opposite of that. It’s something grandma and grandpa would have taken to church, and they’d have had the local shop change the oil every few months. It’s probably never had the skinny pedal touch the carpet.

So here’s the question. Would you roll this car as it is, or would there be a big or small block filling the engine bay as soon as you got it home? We’d leave it as is and drive the wheels off of it.
