Cruise Gallery: The Wings-To-Go Cruise Night – Burlington, North Carolina

(Photos by Dennis White) – Our newest addition to the BangShift contributor army is North Carolina’s Dennis White. This is the second cruise night gallery Dennis has sent over to us and we’re digging it as much as the first one. These local cruise galleries are a neat window into the local car culture in different areas of the country. Yes, you’ll see a lot of stuff that looks the same across the board, but there are cool cars at every event that tend to jump off the page or out of the show a little more than others. The 1966 Chevelle convertible that appears to be in factory stock condition right down to the wheels and tires is a neat piece along with the 1930s era coupe with the stunning waterfall style grill in the front. We’re blanking on what make and model that car is but the front end is really stunning to look at in the photos.

Sure, big shows get most of the press, but the fact is, combining up the big shows still wouldn’t equal the combined size of all the weekly cruise nights in the country. These events really are the backbone of the hobby and provide a great sense of community for local hot rodders, restorers, and car folks in general. Long live the local cruise night!

Thanks to Dennis White for the submission!
