(Photos by Cory McMahon) – Missourri’s Ozark Raceway Park is a cool facility that hosts a number of shootout events over the course of the season. The track is an older facility and they run quarter mile for cars 11.90 and slower and eighth mile for everyone else, including their shootout events. BangShifter Cory McMahon was on hand for the recent Mickey Thompson Street Machine Shootout at Ozark and he submitted a gallery of more than 100 photos showing some of the coolest cars and action both on the strip and in the pits. This was a door slammer race to the core with Pro Mods, Pro Street, Outlaw 10.5, Drag Radial, True Ten Five, and Mean Street cars all getting after it on the 660.
The race looks to have a been a big success for the track as the pits were full and the stands appear to be loaded up as well. There’s nothing cooler than fast door slammers and the nice weather that late summer/early fall brings. The cars all run like hell, you don’t have to sweat your brains out in the stands, and the beer tastes even better with a little cool breeze.
Blown, nitrous, turbo, big tire and little, they are all here! Hit the link below to see the gallery!
Thanks to Cory for this great gallery of photos!
