Since he’s handily dominating the world of NASCAR, Dale Jr. is apparently ready to move onto his next area of conquest, Indy. Oh wait a second, he’s not dominating NASCAR? We naturally figured the guy who’s every breaking of wind is covered by the racing press must be leading the points. Whoops.
All chops-breaking aside, Dale Jr. appeared at Indy Motor Speedway and was scheduled to go for a ride in a two-seat Indy Car with Dan Wheldon, but rain did not allow that to happen. Instead, Earnhardt sat in the car and got some pointers and tips from Wheldon.
Robbie Gordon did it, Tony Stewart did it, and John Andretti pulled the trick of competing at both the Indy 500 and Coca Cola 600 on the same day, but since Indy moved its start time by two hours, it is no longer possible for the NASCAR guys to do both. In this case, that may be a good thing.
