A 59-year old Oregon man recently found himself on the business end of two pieces of modern technology, On-Star and a taser. This strange pair of bedfellows came into play when Robert Stoddard got the divine inspiration to steal a Camaro being offloaded at a car dealership.
There’s no word as to which model of Camaro was stolen, but seeing as it was being unloaded at a Jeep/Chrysler dealer, it must be a used one.
Extra credit goes to the truck driver who risked life and limb by hanging onto the car while Stoddard sped away. The truck driver cut bait before being injured and contacted the police who considered their options and then called On-Star for help.
With the car being located, all it took was a spike strip to stop Stoddard in his tracks. Unfortunately he refused to exit the car or comply with police demands so they tased the hell out of him and carried his stupid ass off to jail.
All’s well that ends well.
