Just when you thought that Scott’s AMX/GTO would top the crazy mashups of the day here on BangShift we go and find something that rivals it in terms of creativity and difficulty to create. What you are looking at is not a full size Chevy Blazer with good handling parts on it. What you are looking at is a C5 Corvette that has been melded with a fully size Chevy Blazer. The seller calls it a 1974 Blazer but the nose is from the 1980s, so we’re guessing that the VIN tag is from a ’74 so he can avoid emission hassles in California. The seller claims that it was a former military truck but as best we know the CUCV Blazers were not part of the miliatry program until the 1980s. So we’re a little confused on that point.
That being said, externally the work to combine the Corvette and the Blazer appears to be seamless. The engine bay looks good, the thing has a gnarly slammed stance that is the result of coil overs on all four corners. Other than that the Corvette foundation of the machine is largely unaltered. The motor is stock save for a cold air kit and there was a roll cage added to stiffen things up. The one thing that hits us as a little weird about this truck is the use of the full Corvette dash and console inside. It is probably super comfortable to drive and the ‘Vette seats provide a good anchor point for cornering purposes, but it just looks strange with the seats essentially at the B-pillar of the truck.
If we bought this truck it would go in for a paint job, a nice two tone design would be nice and we’d add some factory chrome back to the body, including the bumpers. We’d then get it to a bunch of autocrosses and open track days to see how that Corvette chassis handles the extra weight of a steel truck body riding on it!

C5 Corvette! well except from lying on the military part that was creative. i would definitely paint it but wouldn’t change the interior. I think its cool

Yes the c5 corvette was a roll over victim and was totalled.We towed it after the crash.He had no insurance no license total looser.The guy was drunk .Real stupid move.Lucky no one was killed.DON’T DRINK AND DRIVE !! Conclusion i bought the car decided why fix another c5 vette.So i decided between my friend bob at outlaw chassis and my shop to make a one of a kind hot rod.Just bought it back last night 2-12-13.Needs some upgrades and gonna do a total in and out black paint job.Different suspension,exhaust,procharge it,loose the stock vette dash,make a bead rolled custom dash,new style racing seats,flat black the inside,ghost flames on the outside,cowl hood.
