This is a super cool find, and has great history. Someone needs to buy this and then haul their Nostalgia Funny Car to Famoso on it. That would rule. We want this one bad. It’s Mike Mitchell’s “The World’s Fastest Hippie” 1964 Chevrolet Ramp Truck Car Hauler. According to the ad, this truck hauled Mike’s Corvette Funny Car and others all over the western states. The current owner bought the truck after Mike’s death and was actually planning to use it as his hauler for his Nostalgia Funny Car but plans have changed. He no longer has his Funny Car and wants to seet he truck go to a good home. We dig it and wish that home was ours.
It runs and drives but is going to need a little TLC, but that can’t be much considering it is a Chevy pickup with a big block in it. That’s all simple stuff. The worst part is rust in the cab, but we have to say we would leave this thing alone until it needed a completely new cab because we wouldn’t want to ruin the patina. Check out the track stickers in the window. This is a piece of super cool west coast drag racing history.
