One of our web geeks, Scott, sent us this one yesterday and we couldn’t pass up throwing it up on the site since we are huge fans of the Pro Street movement around here. We are firm believers that if you go buy this bad boy for the $26,000 asking price, you will be living proof that Pro Street is not dead. And, you’ll have a real deal super bitchin 1970 GTO with way bigger tires than anyone else you know with a ’70 GTO.

1970 GTO ( original 455 HO car). 242 start to vin. TRUE GTO but NOT a real Judge. PHS documentation from the late 90s (before counterfeits were floating around) 469 inch Pontiac motor with Butler 310 Edelbrock aluminum heads.10″ Redneck 4600 converter. 4.71 Ford 9″ with spool. 14+ point cage. Stock front stub. This car has been together since 2000 so it does show age from normal use. MUCH more. VERY nice street car. Had the car all stock in 1996 and transformed it to this.

421 4 bolt main block with ARP main studs bored and sonic tested to 4.185. Eagle stroker kit. H beam rods, cast crank and JE SRP pistons. 4.185 bore, 4.25 stroke with 6.8″ long rod. Block is zero decked and has a Butler lifter galley Mega Brace installed. Perfect Circle rings and Clevite H series bearings. Rollmaster billet steel chain and gears with 9 keyways. Mellings M Select oil pump. Canton 7 qt pan and pickup. Kaufman Racing timing cover with Edelbrock aluminum water pump. Polished alloy pushrod cover and ported Victor intake that was done by Butler with the heads. Smith Bros pushrods, PRW stainless full roller 1.60 ratio rockers and PRW stud girdle. Cam is a Comp Cams 51-247-4 solid flat tappet which is .555 lift but is about .585 with these rockers. Duration at .050 is 260 on a 110 sep. Powerbond SFI balancer, March pulleys. Pro Systems 1005 CFM 4150 carb. Car runs on Sunoco 110. Compression is 12.6 with this combo. Heads are Edelbrock 72cc RPM’s ported and built by Butler Performance with all Comp Cams valve train and Stainless valves.

Trans is a TH400 with a TCI transbrake and 34 element sprague and all transgo red clutches. TCI deep alloy pan and Redneck 10″ 4600 flash converter. TCI cooler also.


Rear end is a 9″ ford with a Ford Nodular case and steel Daytona pinion support. Case and support have all ARP studs. 4.71 Richmond street gear an all Timken bearings. Moser steel 31 spline spool and Moser axles with Moroso studs. Back brace and fill bung as well as drain. Chromoly Strange pinion yoke. Chromoly Strange driveshaft.

Wheels are Centerline Warriors. Rear are 15×16. Fronts are 15×4. Rear tires are Hoosier Quick Times 33×22.5. Fronts are Mickey Thompson 26×7.5 8 Ply. Tires are all EXCELLENT tread and sidewall. Car runs 180 deg all day long. Drive anywhere. All lights and signals work. NO wipers or heat or radio.3″ Flowmaster Super 40s with Hedman Husler 1 3/4″ primary ceramic headers.

      It’s not. The 455 HO came out in 1971. At best this car was an original 455 car, but it would have been a regular 455 with D-port heads.
