eBay Find: A Custom 1955 Studebaker Pickup

eBay Find: A Custom 1955 Studebaker Pickup

This week’s eBay find is a great looking 1955 Stude truck that’s been customized from top to bottom and really looks bitchin’. Bonus points were given due to the fact that the truck is powered by a legit 289ci Studebaker mill that was sourced from a 1963 Hawk.

The seller claims that the truck has been sitting for about two years, so he is going to get it into the hands of someone who will get out there and use it. It sounds like a lot of fun to use as well, with a Fatman IFS setup, air bags, and a bagged rear suspension that is anchored by a Currie Ford 9-inch rear end.

These trucks are lookers in factory form but sitting down low really exaggerates their great curves, especially the stylized rear fenders which are really eye-grabbing. The chrome reverse wheels are sweet too.

With a 700R-4 transmission, it can pull highway miles like no one’s business. The only thing we would add would be a Paxton blower to bump the power and give it a truly retro vibe. We’d also can the A/C because we’re weridos.
