This is not a late April Fools joke. It is the truth. A freaking Toyota Camry hybrid will act as the pace car, the official pace car, of upcoming NASCAR races. It will first appear at the Coca-Cola 600 in May, and again at five more dates throughout the season.

How many beers will be chucked at this car on its way around the track? How many fans will have no idea what the hell is going on anyway and miss the “moment” completely?

Toyota PR sent out a glorious release proclaiming this to be some type of amazing moment. Maybe for them.
