Epic Wheelstand Video: One For the Record Book at Sanair Dragway in Canada

This is the wheelstand video to end wheelstand videos. Personally, my favorite before I laid eyes on this one was Steve Blue’s epic wheels up run from the Byron Power Wheelstanding World Championships a few years back. After seeing this Nova defy the laws of physics for most of the length of the quarter mile, I have a new favorite unintentional stunt driver and that’s the mad Frenchmen behind the wheel of this car!

Sanair’s drag strip is part of a huge motorsports park located about an hour outside of Montreal, Canada. Long time drag racing fans remember the NHRA ran a national event there for years called, “Le Grandnational”. That race was sponsored by Molson beer for a long time. After the Canadian government got weird with fuel regulations, the NHRA pulled the race from the schedule and never went back.

The driver of the Nova in this video is very gutsy and seems to have some skills. He works the pedal like a real wheelstander pilot, modulating to keep the car up and preventing a violent smash back to terra firma. Was he trying to run a full track wheelie or just trying to keep the front end from smashing flat? You decide!

Tighten your helmet strap and press play. THIS VIDEO IS WILD!
