While a lot of you were getting ready for a white Christmas, here in sunny Southern California we were hobnobbing with John Force and Jay Leno at Force’s Christmas Car Show, Open House, and Toy Drive. Well, that may be a bit of a stretch, but I certainly got more than we expected when I loaded Daphne and the kids in the car on Sunday morning. We were a bit disappointed in the chilly 65-degree, slightly overcast weather, but once we arrived to see 700-plus hot rods, customs, race cars, street rods, and street machines, we got over it. Cole ran into Leno and got a picture, Daphne bumped into “Mouse” McCoy and got a photo, Rebeldryver and I wandered around dreaming about all the cool hot rods, and I wound up taking almost 250 pictures. The car count was limited to 700, which they hit by 10 a.m., and included some really great cars. We also got to take a tour of John Force Racing along with several thousand other hot rodders. I can’t stress how nicely John Force Racing treated all who attended and how welcoming they were. We all enjoyed the show thoroughly, and recommend you hit it next year if you are in the neighborhood. We’ll be there.
