(Photos by Bob Chiluk) – Yesterday, we ran the first of two galleries of photos from the 2014 Geneva Lakes Antique and Classic Boat Show that Bob Chiluk shot earlier this fall. We were happily surprised at how many of you chimed in to say that you enjoyed looking at the photos and checking out the old boats. Bob told us that he really loved the show and that makes sense. After all, it was Bob who has brought us some of the more interesting galleries of the year with his recent visit to the low rider show and now these boats. The man has this whole gearhead thing as bad as the rest of us, doesn’t he? In this gallery you’ll see a completely fresh set of images, there are no repeats from yesterday and rightfully so. There was so much to see at this show Bob had to hustle to get it all in.
You will see more vintage outboards in this gallery than the collection of photos from yesterday along with more fantastic wooden and fiberglass boats from the era where they were likely towed to the lake or waterfront behind a big block powered station wagon as opposed to some sort of a wonky little SUV. We can see some of these boats on small trailers behind a Chevy Kingswood, or giant Ford Country Squire, freshly waxed woodgrain on the sides and all.
Enough of our babbling! Here’s the second and final blast of classic boat action from the Geneva Lakes Antique and Classic Boat Show!
