2015 Lonestar Round Up: Our Photo Coverage Continues – Show Stopping Hot Rod And Kustoms!

2015 Lonestar Round Up: Our Photo Coverage Continues – Show Stopping Hot Rod And Kustoms!

(Photos by Charles Wickam) – We promised you a solid week of 2015 Lonestar Round Up and thanks to Charles Wickam we’re going to have it. The dude was blasting photos like a maniac during the event last weekend and you are the beneficiary of his hard work because the cars and trucks you are going to see in this collection of photos are completely beyond words. From long and low wagons to high riding period correct rods, this show had it all in spades. More than 2,000 cars were on display at the show itself with hundreds (thousands?) more prowling the streets of Austin, Texas, gathered at speed shops, and generally enjoying the scene with music, art and the works.

Wickam is living the dream lately with this coverage and this weekend’s up coming fun at Royal Purple Raceway in Baytown, Texas. He gets the best of both worlds in two weeks. Classic hot rods and kustoms and then a face full of nitro from the 10,000hp beasts of the NHRA’s Mello Yello drag racing series. That camera is sure getting a workout!

What are you trying to do to me?

A day in the sun with fine drink and my old lady and bang!

    Straight into hot rod heaven!

If there’s any BangShifters from the North East of England – please come along to the Metro Centre cruise near NewcastleuponTyne/Gateshead on Wed 13th May.

We need some photos for BangShift to show what beauties exist in our neck of the woods.

There’s everything from weird Beetle customs to full-on pro streeters and we need some rat rods and more cool leadsleds to make things perfect.

See you all there – just look out for the man in black!
