Even for Mopar people who do their research, the size of the Mopar Nats is something of a surprise: there are fields…not small lots, fields…surrounding National Trail Raceway in Hebron, Ohio packed full of Mopar products. The swap meet is so big that after walking trying to walk the perimeter of it, I was forced to scratch it off of my to-shoot list…there’s no way I would’ve managed to have stopped and checked out even a third of the cool items and not killed precious time that I had. That, and I would’ve probably wound up with heatstroke, if it weren’t for the lemonade stands everywhere. Thank you, saviors!
Walking through the show lots, however, was like shopping. So long as it had ties to Ma Mopar, all you had to do was hunt down whatever flavor your heart desired. Like long roofs? There were plenty of Coronets and Town and Country wagons floating around. Maybe an old cop car is your bag…while there was a seriously hot-rodded Diplomat in the swap meet that caught my eye for a moment, the clear winner on Friday was the 1973 Dodge Coronet sedan, finished in white, with Cragars. Four doors are cool when done right, and this one was bad-ass. And the biggest surprise was this particular ride:
If you remember, we covered Mark Beckett’s 1990 Dodge Daytona a couple of years ago. Since then, it’s gotten two major mods: the silver stripe, and a new blower. Because a third-gen Hemi-swapped rear drive Daytona wasn’t awesome enough, right?

where’s the pics of the vans? were there any vans there? did you get a better picture of the silve ‘Ghost of the Mopar Missile’ with the graphics showing? or othe pictures of the cars in the FABO tent? still, nice job, THANX for sharing your pics — i couldn’t make it so i live vicariously through the pictures everyone shares.
THANX again, Wiggles
