(Photos by Johnny Gaudette) – Ever heard that expression when someone is referred to as an “old soul” and wondered what it meant? This is a concrete visual example of what it means and the definition is displayed in the photos below. Why? Because they were shot by a kid in high school! No slammed Civics, “stanced” VWs, or popped collar lameness that “those damned kids of today” seem to be into. Johnny is an old school hot rodder and his tastes certainly cut that way. I really enjoy this time of the year at BangShift because of these “photo highlight reel” items. I love what our contributors have done and seen every year and being able to share the best of the best pretty much rules.
Johnny pretty much keeps his act in the Massachusetts area but we know when this kid gets a little older he’ll be out and about. His pop just started on a new project which is the sweet looking 1968 Buick that is displayed in the photos below and Johnny’s ever cool more door Plymouth has also snuck into this group of photos as well. From patina’d wagons to hemi powered coupes, the kid has a great sense of what’s cool and we’re always excited to see what he has sent us when we’re notified of a submission.
What more can we say other than Thanks Johnny!
Its VERY clear this kid ‘gets it’. My 14-yr-old is in the same league. He’s much more prefer to see a ride on steelies with dog-dish caps verses 20″ billet wheels. Hope we get to meet him in the future because there aren’t many in this age group. Rare breeds.
I love it!
