Boonesborough Boogie Nationals: More Street Machines And Pavement Pounders From The Event

Boonesborough Boogie Nationals: More Street Machines And Pavement Pounders From The Event

(Photos by Doug Gregory) – Yesterday we showed you the first of two photos collections featuring street machines and cool hot rods from the Boonesborough Boogie Nationals car show shot by Doug Gregory and his kiddo Taylor. Today we’re back with the second and final load of photos from the show. That Pontiac up there in the lead photos is a pretty sweet piece. That’s not a car we see many of and we dig the budget look here with the painted steel wheels and all. We can only hope that there is an angry 455 under the hood and all that good Pontiac luxury has been retained inside. It is a pretty neat looking car with those big round lights and the signature Pontiac split grill.

Down below is an awesome 1955 Chevy gasser. It looks great with the white fender well headers, the period small scoop, the lack of a front bumper, radiused rear wheel wells, high riding stance, and four point bar. A car like the one below is something we aspire to own someday. It is a super cool car that can actually be used which is the name of the game. We also love to see the telltale coolness of the pins at the corners of the front fenders indicating that the nose is a once piece fiberglass unit like was found on lots of gassers and the famous 1955 Chevy from Two Lane Blacktop.

This is a great event and we’re glad that Doug and Taylor hit is as hard as they did. This looks like a fantastic crop of cars!
