Minutes ago on the salt at the SCTA/BNI Bonneville Speed Week, George Poteet wheeled the Poteeteet and Main “Speed Demon” streamliner to a 400mph record! They made a qualifying pass of 409mph yesterday and followed it up with a 399mph shot today.
This gave them a two way average of 404mph and put them in the books. The record came in the D/BFS class and they bumped their own 394mph mark from last year up a solid 10mph.
Congrats to the fastest crew on the salt (so far) in 2010!
Tip top stuff. I’ll eexpct more now.
