(Photos by Charles Wickam) – We’re back with more Wickam action! You know it has finally cooled off in Texas because the shows and races are going full bore and Charles literally cannot avoid them. As best we remember, this event happens in a park that is situated almost directly across the street from Wickam’s holding cell house. He probably wandered out the front door in his underpants to get the newspaper and then grabbed his camera (and some pants) and checked out the show.
This gallery is a good example of why we love local car shows. You have traditional street rod stuff that looks cool, trucks, muscle cars, and one guy showed up with the Captain Insano sand car that looks top shelf from front to back. Charles shot a bunch of details of that bad boy so get a look-see. While we’ve never ridden in one, we sure want to. There just isn’t much in the way of dunes here on the east coast. Damned geology.
