The Aussie’s and Brits always throw us for a loop with all the wrong side driving they do. The U.K. has some very good drag racing thanks to the famed Santa Pod Raceway where the 2nd Annual Dragstalgia event was held this year, and fortunately for us our guy Callum “Pudgey” Pudge was on site snapping photos like a mad man. Now we know that the show was a few weeks ago, but Pudge has been busy and then we were at Bonneville. So here they are now, as good as ever and including FIRE BURNOUTS!
With rain hammering the track on and off on Saturday, they were only able to get two sessions in, but come Sunday the weather was great, the crowds were huge, and Santa Pod was the place to be for great drag racing. We have to admit we are jealous because they have more Anglias and Thames than you’ll see at a typical race here and we love them. In fact someday I’ll own one. A cool little Anglia drag car is on my short list of cars to own, and I’d gladly trade my Nova for one. Until then, I’ll have to be happy with seeing them on the drag strip here and through Pudgey’s pictures from Santa Pod.
