Yesterday was one of the best days we can remember of LSR racing at the Ohio Mile with NASCAR legend Dave Marcis setting records at over 210mph, a guy on a steam powered motorcycle…STEAM POWERED MOTORCYCLE running 80mph and breaking an ancient record, cars that drove to the meet running 200+, and motorcycles running huge speeds bordering on the 240mph zone. Incredible diversity of fast iron here in Wilmington for one last blast in 2014. Lots of racers who had Bonneville dreams this year at at Wilmington as the rains soaked the salt twice, dousing them. We’re glad to have them and happy to report that beautiful weather conditions and well prepared cars added up to a HUGE slew of records. Greg Neal snagged the honor of owning the fastest 650cc bike on the planet with a 187 MPH run, and the hits just kept on coming.
Along with our normal racing program, we have the Tiger Racing Products, S&S Cycles Street Bike Challenge going on, pitting some of the heaviest duty street legal bikes in the nation against one another in several different classes.
