(Photos by Mike Brooks) – We’re going to keep the torrent of Detroit Autorama photos coming at your this week because Mike Brooks and the crew blasted loads and loads of images during their time cruising Cobo Hall in the motor city. We have done the flash and dash of the big dollar stuff so we’re going to keep our eyes peeled on the more BangShifty and regular guy stuff that filled the basement and the halls of the show. From the nicely finished hot rods to cool retro looking trucks like the orange rimmed Gulf hauler below, the real soul of the Detroit Autorama does not live in the handful of incredible cars that vie for the Ridler each year. Instead it lives in the hundreds and hundreds of cars that flank them.
We love looking at these photos, especially because it gives us a great window into what was at the show and what the direction of the latest trends and styles are. It looks to us that trucks in all of their forms continue to dominate the hobby these days. No complaints from us as we love them in all of their glorious shapes and sizes. See what we mean in here!
