Lead East continues to be one of the most fun, and full, car shows on the East Coast. Founded by Terry Cook to be a massive 1950s party, Lead East features not only cars, but events like a drive in theater, doo-wop music, and fun contests that bring it out of the car show realm and place it near the Star Trek zone. That being said, if they drove straight axle gasser-style hot rods on Star Trek, we’d be all over it just like we are Lead East!
These photos were taken by BangShift member Tony, who recently transplanted to New Jersey and was lamenting his lack of knowledge on the local rodding and car scene. We told him to save his energy for this show and spend some time there. He loved every second and managed to take more than 100 photos capturing some of the coolest and wackiest stuff there!
The countdown is already on for Lead East 2011, you should probably book a room now if you want to get in, unless the hotels are already full!
