We’ve been all over the country already today with event and show galleries, and now we’re headed north to Pennsylvania. This is a gallery of photos from the 2011 Keystone Nationals Indoor Truck and Tractor Pull. As much as the ADRL was a season opener for door slammer drag racing, this is the opening salvo in the Northern pulling season, drawing some of the hottest iron from the northern realm of the country. The Keystone Nationals ran a full gamut of classes from nearly stock appearing diesel machines, all the way to the wild Super Stock trucks and Pro Stock diesel tractors.
BangShifter Eric Frantz, a pulling guy to the core was at the event all weekend long and he brought his camera along to share the action. One of the best parts of the pulling scene is that each truck has a name and a personality all to itself. These are private efforts, born of the sweat, blood, and effort of their owners.
If you have never been to a truck and tractor pull, we recommend it. There is no greater mechanical brutality. Full tilt, crazy wheel speed, and the whole rig is moving 20mph. Pretty wild stuff, especially the nutty smoker Pro Stock tractors!
